As part of British Science Week 2020, Phoebe Ronn has co-authored a blog with Katy Rankin from  µ-VIS X-ray Imaging Centre, University of Southampton. The blog is hosted on the National Heritage Science Forum and explores how cutting edge technology is being used to excavated the Rooswijk virtually.  A number of concreted coin stacks are bring micro-CT scanned. X-ray micro-Computed Tomography (µ-CT) scanning is a volumetric scanning technique, which enables us to virtually cut open materials to look inside with micrometre spatial resolution, while preserving the condition of the object we are scanning.
