Interested in coastal archaeology? Skye and the Western Isles have some of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the UK, and we will be carrying out research on coastal sites around south Skye this year on behalf of Historic Environment Scotland. If you are interested in the coastal archaeology of Skye or learning some new skills in archaeological survey come and join us! We will be surveying sites at:
• Tokavaig (near Dunscaith): 26th July 2022, 10am – 12 noon
• Knock (near Torabhaig distillery): 27th July 2022, 10am – 12 noon
• Waterloo (Broadford): 28th July 2022, 10am – 12 noon
Contact Sally Evans to find out more and book a place! Transport with the Sleat Community Trust’s Am Bus Beag Dealain (The Wee Electric Bus) will be available for the surveys.
